Carrie + Jim – A walk in the park
December 13th, 2011
Jessica Hollenbach We recently booked a wonderful couple for their 2012 wedding and managed to squeeze in their engagement session in the same weekend. Luckily the good ole Minnesota winter is staying away and we were able to do a nice outdoor session as well as a fun indoor sitting.
The photos were taken at my favorite location, Hester Park in St Cloud. The lovely stone bridges give me a great background to work with and a variety of great posing opportunitites. This is one of my favorite photos of Jim and Carrie and a good example of me being able to get a good angle when posing the couple.
Carrie and Jim walking in the park is another great image from the session. When we veiwed the images with C+J I mentioned how I liked that they were looking at each other. Carrie brought up the fact that SHE was the one who told him they should.
Looking at each was not their only idea forthe day, C+J had seen a christmas card where everyone was texting in the photo and they wanted to try out the idea. Here’s what we ended up with. Although this was in good humor, unfortunatly this photo is true to life for many people today.
Back at our home studio for a small indoor session, C+J brought along a few strings of christmas lights. Here is the outcome of the lights photo which was taken by Jesse. It’s a beautiful photo that captured a wonderful moment between the two of them.
We had a great time with Carrie and Jim and can not wait for their up coming wedding!
I’m back … went to the chapel and I got married …

A few of the highlights … first and foremost – I GOT MARRIED!!! I am no longer Jessica Hollenbach but now Mrs Jessica Tallant. I married the love of my life and my shooting partner Jesse Tallant. We were married on November 12th and it was a lovely 63 degrees out, a perfect fall Minnesota day. I also lucky to get two wonderful stepdaughters and a cute little doggiein the deal
Below is one of the gorgeous images taken by friend and fellow photographer Tamara Richards of Every Emotion Photography in Sedona, AZ.

I am thrilled we accomplisshed this goal and we have now uped the ante and decided to go for thrity five. Bondhus Family Photos – Munsinger Gardens
October 2nd, 2011
Jessica Hollenbach Yesterday ended up warming up for us quite a bit and turned into a beautiful day. The gorgeous fall colors against the bright blue sky was a great backdrop for our afternoon family session. The Bondhus family is a delight to work with. Jenny and Chad’s daughters are naturals in front of the camera and entire family looked amazing. I can’t wait to edit the full session as the few I’ve looked at so far are great. Below is one of family shots we took from yesterday.
There was also bridal party being photographed at the park yesterday and it gave me an idea for my own wedding. The Bridesmaids all had flowers in their hair – I’m kind of thinking of getting my ladies all some sort of blinged out hair clip. Something sort of like this …
Fall has arrived …
October 1st, 2011
Jessica Hollenbach BBrrrr … so my office is in a converted front porch and the heat out here isn’t the best. I love all the windows, it keeps me from going crazy working from home but, its still cold … time to break out the electric heater. Honestly all of the windows allow me feel more apart of the world when I am stuck at my desk all day. I can’t imagine working from home in some tucked away spare bedroom and never interacting with other people. Being a photographer I really get the the best of both world’s. I have the option of making my own schedule but also get to meet all kinds of amazing people every day. I guess I am truly blessed
I have a photo shoot today with a beautiful family that we meet at Heather & Tim’s wedding a few weeks back. They area fun group of people – I will post a few images from the session later.
Oh … when I say “we” I am referring to myself and my lovely fiance Jesse. I am one lucky gal that he decided to take photography up as a hobby. He is kind enough to shoot with me on weekends even after working a long week at his own job. Not quite sure what I would do without him. Actually … I would probably still be stuck in the cubicle …
I’ve got a feeling …
October 1st, 2011
Jessica Hollenbach I can’t believe how fast wedding season 2012 is taking off for us. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting at a cubicle at US Cable selling customers cable and internet. Now, here I am a mere four months later and we are already well on our way to making our 2012 goals. My wonderful fiance Jesse told me it was time for me to reach for my goals of photographing brides full time and he had a “feeling” .. I guess his feeling was right
Speaking of my fiance, we have 43 days to go to OUR wedding. The day is quickly approaching. I get the question all of the time asking me “How I found a photographer to meet me expectations?” Lucky for me one of my friends is a fabulous award winning photographer out of Arizona. Tamara Richards owns Every Emotion Photography in Sedona, AZ and she is making the journey to capture my wedding weekend.
I was thrilled when I stumbled upon this great wedding scrapbook …. “Our Wedding Scrapbook by Darcy Miller. Its a terrific way to document your wedding – I’m loving it already.
